According to him, the initiative, when completed, will go along with giving their customers all the best, such as cost control, convenience, transparency, etc., since they will have full control of their energy consumption.

During the webinar, there were other top officials of DESCO and related institutions who also bared their minds on the proposed project. Dignitaries like Helal Uddin, the Vice President of the Bangladesh Shop Owners Association, Bikash Dewan, who is the managing director of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd. (DPDC), Ariful Haque Suhan, vice chairman of Reverie Power & Automation Engineering, and, ofcourse, Shahedul Islam Helal, who is the former president of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI), were in attendance

They applauded the initiative and promised that it was going to revolutionize the power sector within the regions under DESCO.

It would be recalled that DESCO covers this region and its environs: Uttara, Badda, Purbachal, Uttarkhan, Mirpur, Pallabi, Kafrul, Cantonment, Gulshan, Banani, Kalyanpur, Baridhara, Mohakhali, and Dakkhinkhan.
