Knowing your prepaid meter codes will not only save you from stress and time-wasting but will also help you to utilize all the features that come with your meter from your comfort zone. 

There are different meter brands; hence, they have different codes that users can use to carry out different functions such as checking meter number, credit balance, and activation, among others. Since these codes are brand-specific, it is best to identify the particular meter that you’re using to enable you to use the correct code. This means that if you’re using a Mojec prepaid, you can’t use the Conlog code to check its balance and vice versa. 

Hence, it becomes imperative to know your prepaid meter code to enable you to carry out troubleshooting measures without visiting your electricity provider should your meter develop a fault. 

How to Use Prepaid Meter Code

To use a prepaid meter code to perform any function, follow the steps below:

  • Locate your prepaid meter’s customer interface unit (CIU) or user interface unit (UIU)
  • Plug it to the power source
  • Put the specific code for the function you want to perform
  • Click on the enter button and that’s all.

Conlog Prepaid Meter Codes

One of the most popular prepaid meters is the Conlog meter. It has different codes for various functions. The table below summarizes the Conlog prepaid meter codes and their functions.

Conlog Prepaid Meter Activation

After installing the Conlog prepaid meter, you will need to activate it before it can start functioning. 

After installation, your distribution company will send the activation code to you within two days. Once you receive the code, follow the steps below to activate your meter.

  • Locate your meter’s interface unit and plug it into power source
  • Check the meter number on your card; if it begins with 45 or 46, input your meter number on the CIU and click on the ‘’Enter’’ button
  • However, if the meter number starts with 04, then you will need to dial #046# on the CIU before entering your meter number and then clicking the ‘’Enter’’ key 
  • Finally, input the first 20-digit activation code sent to you and click on the ‘’Enter’’ button. Wait for awhile
  • At this point, you will need to input the remaining activation code digits and then click on the ‘’Enter’’ button. 

N/B:

To confirm if the activation was successful, just dial #030# on your CIU and wait for a moment. If it displays ‘’600492’’ on the screen, it means that it was successful. But if it didn’t, then you will need to repeat the whole process again. 

MOJEC Prepaid Meter Codes

This is a household name in the prepaid meter industry. It is an international company with branches in different countries around the world. If you use Mojec prepaid meter in your home or office, it makes sense to know their codes to enable you to use the meter with ease. The codes summarized in the table below will be of immeasurable help to you.
