Job description
- Lead technician, who will lead other teams of field technicians in operating and maintaining solar facilities.
- The person will work on preventive and corrective maintenance of solar panels, trackers, power inverters, etc.
Qualifications
- A GED or high school diploma, is required.
- An associate’s degree in a technical field is required.
- 5+ years of related electrical maintenance experience are required.
- 3+ years of medium-voltage electrical work experience are required.
- 2+ years of high-voltage electrical work experience are required.
- 2+ years of managing or leading field technicians are needed.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Fix low-voltage DC power systems
- Fix low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage AC power systems.
- Periodically, conduct preventive maintenance on the AC and DC power systems.
- Identify and fix underperforming equipment.
- Keep a proper record of spare parts and consumables.
- Develop and implement site operating plans.
- Work as an intermediary between the company and subcontractors.
Required Knowledge
- Ability to handle low-voltage DC power systems
- Experience in managing low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage AC power systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent knowledge of using operational equipment like skid steers and forklifts
- Ability to use electrical tools like a multimeter and an IR camera
