To apply for municipal prepaid meters, you’ll need to apply through your municipal council administrator using the application form they produce for that. Once you apply, you will be able to get the meter within a short period of time if it is in stock. However, if the council doesn’t have meters in stock, you will be added to the waiting list. 

Meanwhile, to complete the municipality’s prepaid electric meter application, you will need to have some documents handy. The documents that you may need while applying for the meter are: 

  • Your property’s rate account copy
  • The valid ID card of the property owner
  • A letter of proxy from the electricity company granting such permission, if applicable. 
  • Other relevant details may be required.
